Fischer short biography
An outstanding German harpsichordist and composer, Johann Casper Ferdinand Fischer was appointed Hofkapellmeister to the Margrave Ludwig Wilhelm. The quality and brilliance of Fisher’s music and his outstanding performances made Fisher a very important and influential musical figure. Fischer was solely responsible for introducing French ideas into German music. In 1738, Fischer composed and published his most extraordinary work, Musicalischer Parnassus that blends the French and German styles.
