Flesch short biography
An outstanding German violinist and pedagogue, Carl Flesch was born in Hungary had his music education in Vienna and Paris. In Flesch gained enormous popularity in Berlin as a violinist of colossal repertoire, a chamber music player and, especially, as violin teacher. Among Flesch’s students were Ida Haendel and Henryk Szeryng. Flesh published a several extraordinarily important instructional materials including Die Kunst des Violin-Spiels. Flesch was forced to sell one of the best Stradivari violins, the Brancaccio, that he owned after losing everything during the market crash in New York in 1928.
