Carl Tausig short biography

An outstanding Polish pianist and composer, Carl Tausig, was regarded as the most talented and celebrated of the first generation of Liszt’s students. Liszt once said: ‘Tausig had fingers of steel’. A great number of Tausig’s piano arrangements of great composers are enormously effective and remain in the repertoire of the modern virtuosos.
