Louis Moreau Gottschalk short biography

An outstanding American virtuoso pianist and composer, Louis Moreau Gottschalk had his first European concert tour at age 12. Having enjoyed a significant financial support from his father, Gottschalk soon became one of America’s most brilliant musicians. Gottschalk's performances, always triumphal, were considered the most important events on both sides of the Atlantic.
